Decorative Cast "Iron Art" Tobacco Storage Box with Gold-colored American Eagle Motif This vintage limited-edition cast-iron box was most-likely made between 1961 - 1965 by The Iron Art Company of Phillipsburg, NJ. We picked up this item at a local estate sale. We were told it was cast to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the end of the historic American Civil War (1861-1865). Beautiful storage for pipe tobacco, cigars or cigarettes of up to about 5.5" long. Eagle figurine is removable by screw and has some play/movement as it's affixed to the lid. Under the removeable eagle - sculpted lid is marked "IRON ART" LB82 4 Under the footed box is marked "IRON ART" LB82 2 Approximate Overall Exterior Dimensions: 6.75" (L) x 4.25" (W) x 6.25" (H), weighs about 4.13 pounds.
